Map My Run or Pimp My Run whats the difference. This has been a great new tool that was not
available when I ran my last marathon (or at least I did not know about it).
MapMyRun. com is a website where you can track all of your run and training.
I have a complete list of all my runs since starting my training for the Marine Corps Marathon.
You can check out my profile with Training and Route Information. CoachBriany's MapMy Run Page:
The most valuable part of this website is you do not have to drive your route out with your car to get the mileage. The Website interfaces with Google Maps and gives figures up that information for you.
You can also search other public routes posted by other runners.
Feel Free to Pimp one of My Runs.
I am going to start creating boutique routes to share for the Cincinnati Runners.

When Pig's Fly!
For those of you not familiar with Squidoo its a website were people can create a personal page on a topic they are passionate about. I decided to put together a page on the Flying Pig Marathon. I have run the Pig twice and found it to be a fun well organized experience.
Check out my lens: Flying Pig Marathon
I will be adding features soon but wanted to get things started.

Running Revelations
Oohrah! Marine Corps! 10 years after I first set out to run the Marine Corps Marathon I am within 8 weeks of success.
In 1997 after an honorable discharge from the U.S.M.C. I gained a few (50 pounds is a few right). I was a little depressed and remembered one of my seargents in had run the Marine Corps Marathon right before I was discharged. I decided I would get back in shape by training for the Marine Corps Marathon. After a few months of training I decided to sign up. Then I realized it was the same weekend my sister was getting married.
Instead I was turned on to the Leukemia Society Team in Training Program and luckily landed a spot in the New York Marathon. Ends up I had a blast. I passed a million people in one day and got to see one of the greatest cities on the earth. I was hooked. I continued on to complete 5 more marathons (4 more cities Chicago, San Diego, Columbus, Cincinnati x2) over the next 4 years but I never made it back to my original goal.
Now after nearly a decade and much of those few pounds back on my frame I am embarking on my orginal goal of running the Marine Corps Marathon. My expectations have been lowered but I am stoked since my "Runners High" has returned as my training miles have grown (now over 14 for my long run).
Just so happens during this time I also found an internet marketing course called the 30 day challenge who's primary focus is on creating great content. It has re-inspired me to share my ideas and inspirations.
During my early years of training I remember having some of my best ideas on long runs. Those ideas have resurfaced and one of them was a running blog titled "Running Revelations."
I hope you enjoy the ramblings I mean revelations.
